Batter Up!

All Star Sports Resort was built in 1994 as the first of three planned buildings in the All Star complex.

This resort falls in to the Value category and is one of the best budget resorts on property. Designed around five different themes, each set of two buildings celebrates a different sport; baseball, football, tennis, basketball and surfing. Huge, towering sports themed statues and your favorite Disney characters decorate each area of the resort.

There are several forms of recreation at this resort from swimming and jogging to movies under the stars and an arcade. The two pools at the resort are the main pool, called Surfboard Bay, which is where you will find the kiddie pool and Grand Slam Pool which hosts a large Goofy figure on a pitcher’s mound squirting water on the swimmers below. The Grandstand Spirits Pool Bar is located right outside Stadium Hall by the main pool and is a great place to relax and have a drink.

Next to each pool you will find a laundry building with several washers and dryers. There is a vending machine for soap and dryer sheets if you should forget to bring them from home.

Accommodations include 1,920 rooms that are either Standard View or Preferred View. All rooms sleep up to four people and include two double beds, a small table and chairs, TV, dresser, night stand and a separate vanity and tub/shower area. Your view will be the same in either room category, either the pool or the parking lot, but preferred rooms will be closer to the main pathway through the resort or closer to the main building depending on which "sport" your room is in.

Located inside Stadium Hall you will find the check-in desk, the End Zone Food Court and the Sport Goofy gift shop. There is no table service restaurant at this resort but the End Zone Food Court does have a good selection of items. The sports theme carries into the food court with artwork featuring some of your favorite characters.

Free transportation to all the parks, Disney Springs and the water parks are provided by Disney buses. If you do bring a car there is a $15 per night charge for parking at the resort. All the other usual Disney Resort benefits apply as well including early entry into the parks and package delivery back to your resort gift shop (returning summer/fall 2022).

This is a great resort for families with kids, large groups (many high school sports teams stay here), or those who would rather spend all day in the park and just need somewhere to get a few precious hours of sleep.

As always, if this sounds like the kind of place you would be interested in staying contact me and we can take a look at a trip perfect for you and your family.
