The Kitchen Sink

It has been rather warm around here this week and I started thinking of the different types of ice cream desserts at Walt Disney World. The one that immediately came to mind was the Kitchen Sink from Beaches and Cream Soda Shop. The shop is located at the Beach Club resort right by the Stormalong Bay pool complex.

This ENORMOUS dessert comes in a large silver bowl with a faucet made to look like the kitchen sink (hence the name).

The sink includes: fudge topping, peanut butter topping, butterscotch topping, a banana, cinnamon spice cupcake, angel food cupcake, vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, strawberry ice cream, mint chocolate chip ice cream, coffee ice cream, chocolate syrup, marshmallow crème, strawberry topping, pineapple topping, whipped cream topping (a whole can), a brownie, a candy bar, chocolate cookies with cream filling (because Disney can't just call them Oreos), sliced toasted almonds, dark and white chocolate shavings, crushed chocolate cookies with cream filling, jellied orange slices, milk chocolate chip morsels, peanut butter chip morsels, chocolate sprinkles, rainbow sprinkles and maraschino cherries!

The cast member will also bring some bowls and spoons so you can do individual servings or you can just dig in and eat out of the sink. As it is brought to your table, there are sirens that go off, and the cast member would recite the list of ingredients to the restaurant. (This public display is paused right now due to COVID-19)

As you can see, the 4 of us managed to eat it all! The Kitchen Sink is part of the regular ice cream menu at the Soda Shop. Next time your in Walt Disney World you will have to give it a try and let me know what you think.
